Police want to speak to any motorists in the area who have dashcam footage.

Two men have died following a collision on the A5 yesterday (Tuesday 26 March).

Police were called to a stretch of the carriageway, close to the junction with the B4114, at 8.20 pm following a report that a grey Audi S4 had collided with a lorry parked in a layby.

The occupants of the Audi - two men in their twenties - were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the lorry was not injured.

Detective Constable Maddie Hayes, from the force's Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU), said: "Our investigation into this collision is continuing and I'm appealing for anyone who can help to get in touch.

"I'm particularly keen to speak to any motorists who were in the area and have a dashcam in their vehicle or who saw the collision occur. I'd also like to speak to anyone who saw the Audi on the A5 prior to it happening.

"Anything you can tell us, no matter how insignificant you think it is, could assist us."
