All upcoming performances at The Civic Hall in Bedworth are cancelled as part of measures to stop the spread of COVID-19.

In a statement the Civic Hall said: "We apologise for the disappointment and disruption that this may cause.  However, the safety and well-being of our audiences, employees, artists and performers is of paramount importance.

This closure will be until further notice but we will keep it under review, in line with government advice. This is a fast changing situation and we will update our customers as soon as we can."

The Civic Hall is the latest in a line of cinemas, theatres and local attractions that has announced change because of the Coronavirus outbreak.

The advice for anyone with tickets to an upcoming show is to wait for the Box Office to contact them directly.

The Civic Hall as asked customers not to contact the Box Office as they are receiving large volumes of calls.

Councillor Ian Lloyd, Portfolio Holder for Arts and Leisure at Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council said: “We are sorry that we are having to cancel shows at The Civic Hall in Bedworth, but people’s health and trying to contain the spread of this virus is at the forefront of our thoughts.

“We hope to be able to reschedule these performances and will keep everyone updated as soon as we have any further information and directives. We would like to thank everyone for their patience and support during these difficult times.’’
