A number of fallen trees have caused disruption to rush hour across the area.
Police said they had attended incidents near Hartshill on Atherstone Road at the junction with Nuneaton Road and also between Desford and Newbold Verdon.
Market Bosworth Police said a number of roads were blocked due to fallen trees, including around Twycross, Orton on the Hill, Cadeby and Shenton.
Other incidents reported to Fosse 107 include:
A tree blocking most of the road on Kilby Road in Wistow near the maze.
Frolesworth Road between Frolesworth village and the B4114 near Sharnford is “completely blocked due to fallen tree”.
A fallen tree at the Ridings, Rothley, near Rothley Court.
A fallen tree on Ashby Road, Gilmorton.
There's a tree down on the A6, between Oadby & Great Glen, Southbound side.
The Cropston Road between Anstey and Cropston is blocked with a fallen tree.
A50 Bradgate Hill and Markfield Road both directions from A46 (Groby) to Leicester Road (Church Roundabout, Markfield) Flooding means the road is closed.
A511 Ashby Road both directions from the Boundary Roundabout to Hepworth Road (Woodville High Street) Fallen tree has closed the road.
There are also reports of areas of standing water on the roads, especially between A47 between Earl Shilton and Leicester Forest East.
East Midlands Trains also reported issues with Tuesday rush hour saying that damage to the overhead lines was causing delays on services:
From East Midlands Trains - "There is damage to the overhead electric wires at Luton between Luton and Luton Airport Parkway and is disrupting our trains on the Sheffield/Nottingham/London routes. Specialist engineers are heading to site, we are awaiting an estimate of when they will arrive."
