LCFC stars open Sileby Bowling Club

Leicester City Football Club have helped Sileby Bowling Club to develop a new green.

To celebrate the transformation of the grounds, masterminded by Leicester City Head Groundsman John Ledwidge, an open day will take place today (9th April). 

Sileby Bowls Club said that club legend Steve Walsh would attend, alongside Ambassador Alan   Birchenall and player James Maddison. 

The transformation of the ground has taken six months.

 Before John Ledgwidge and his team moved in the playing surface was in poor condition. 

 

 

John, who is responsible for maintaining the playing surface at Leicester City's King Power Stadium and   the current training facility helped the bowls club which is closeby to where LCFC's new training facility will   be built.
