It's aimed at helping children and young people across the region to get active.
Molly Webb was only 25 when she passed away suddenly in January last year.
She was the captain of Loughborough Foxes Women's and Girls Football Club, she enjoyed coaching the junior teams in her spare time and she was also a sports co-ordinator in a primary school.
Molly’s Trust was created to enable her legacy to live on.
The trust aims to provide funding opportunities for children and young people in sport and physical activity, particularly for disadvantaged children, across Leicestershire and Rutland.
The first round of grant funding is now open and will close on Monday 9th March 2020.
Local non for profit community organisations, Primary Schools & individuals (children and young people) can apply for a grant of up to £500.
All grant applications will need to fulfil one of the following outcomes: increase participation in sport / physical activity for children and young people; provide opportunities in sport / physical activity for disadvantaged young people; improve and raise the awareness of mental health for children and young people.
