Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council will begin re-opening its 68 outdoor play sites on a phased approach from this week.

It's following the Government announcement that outdoor play areas can start to re-open.

The borough council says the Miners Welfare and Riversley Park play areas will be the last facilities to re-open in order to support social distancing.

Multi Use Games Areas, Green Gyms, Skate Parks and BMX tracks will also begin to be re-opened from this week.

The following sites will re-open this week as part of the first phase.

Nuneaton Rec./Pool Bank St
Pauls Land
Greenmoor Road
Bailey Park
Bulkington Rec
Stubbs Pool
Heckley Rec
Keresley Rec
Bucks Hill Marl
Orford Rise
Newdigate Rec
Stockingford Rec
Ironbridge Way
Heath Rd
Tiverton Drive
Coronation Walk
Crowhill Rec

The Borough Council says additional sites will then be re-opened on a phased approach until they have reached all 68 play areas in the Borough.

Councillor Ian Lloyd, Portfolio holder for Arts and Leisure said: “I am pleased that we can re-open our play areas again, but ask that all users respect the social distancing guidance and wash their hands as soon as possible after use. The signage being implemented is to help all users play safe on the sites”.
