Hinckley and Bosworth borough council are working with energy supplier E.ON to offer local residents up to 100% funding for either a first-time gas or air source central heating system.

To be eligible your home must not have a central heating system and must currently rely on inefficient heating systems such as electric storage heaters or solid fuel heating to heat their homes. You do not need to be an E.ON customer to apply.

You also need to either privately own or rent the property and it should be in council tax bands A-C (or D depending on the buildings energy efficiency). You can find your council tax band here.

Eligible residents could also get free cavity wall and loft insulation and funding towards solid wall insulation as part of the offer.

The Borough Council’s Executive Member for Housing, Councillor Michael Mullaney said: “We are really pleased to be supporting our residents across the area with this great initiative.

"Through working with E.ON we hope to be able to improve the energy efficiency in hundreds of homes and ensure residents not only save money on their energy costs but can also become more energy efficient at the same time.

"We would urge eligible residents to contact E.ON to find out more and together we can help as many people as possible stay warm and healthy in their homes and help to save money at this difficult time."

To find out if you're eligible or to learn more please call E.ON’s call centre on 0330 400 1095 or visit www.hinckley-bosworth.gov.uk/gasfunding
