Christchurch G&S Society presents the comic operetta Ruddigore by W.S Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan at Iveshead School Theatre, Shepshed (LE12 9DB).
More Information (Fosse 107 is not responsible for external websites)
The story is set in a fictional Cornish village, where its corps of professional bridesmaids are growing tired of the lack of weddings as all the village’s men are too shy to approach the prettiest maiden Rose Maybud. Eventually love blossoms between Rose and Robin Oakapple only for Robin to be revealed as the rightful heir to the cursed title of Baronet of Ruddigore. Add the unlikely pairing of Mad Margaret and the staid Sir Despard to the mix along with a gallery of ghosts, beautiful melodies and harmonies and plenty of humour and you are all set for a thoroughly entertaining evening!
Performances every evening except Saturday, which is a matinee only at 2.30pm. Tickets are £12 (children £6). To book, telephone Margaret on 01509 504376.
