Brides disappointed as weddings at Quorn venue cancelled

One bride was due to get married at the venue in April.

Several couples have told Fosse 107 that their weddings at a venue near Loughborough have been cancelled.

One bride was contacted by the Quorn Country Hotel on the 5th of January to say they were closing on Monday the 9th of January.

In an email to their customers Quorn Country Hotel said that they have been 'acquisitioned by a private government contract' and that they would be closed for 12 months.

Hannah Neal, from Loughborough, was due to get married at the venue in April and found out yesterday (5th of January) that it would not be going ahead.

Stephanie Grant, from Leicester, was getting married there in July.

She said: "We booked our wedding in 2021 for 2023. So it has been a long time of planning and sorting, for it all to come to an end like this."

They have been told that they will be refunded in full.

Quorn Country Hotel has 51 bedrooms as well as the Shires Restaurant. 

Fosse 107 visited the site and was told no one could comment however Quorn Country Hotel are part of the Countrywide Hotel Collection and a spokesperson from the group confirmed that they would be closed from Monday the 9th of January.
