Firefighters visit boy with Christmas gifts

Yesterday we made a special visit, to a very brave little boy. Tommy was hit and run over by a vehicle on 12th December and sustained serious injuries. He is making a great recovery and has only recently returned home just in time for Christmas🎄 after spending over a week at the Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust Two of our firefighters assisted, giving Tommy medical care along with members of the public until a crew from Your Local Air Ambulance WNDLR arrived along with crews from East Midlands Ambulance 🚑 and Leicestershire Police 🚓 The whole team at Shepshed Fire Station decided they wanted to do something special and wanted to surprise Tommy and his brothers Calum and Jake with some gifts 🎁 . Unfortunately 🎅🏻 was busy preparing and making last minute checks for Christmas Eve, so instead S28P2 🚒 and some of our firefighters (not elves) made the special delivery.
