Three people have been sentenced after admitting dealing cocaine and heroin in Loughborough.

Two men and one woman appeared at Leicester Crown Court on Wednesday (17 July) and were given suspended prison sentences.

Kacper Ogrodnik, of Harvest Close, Leicester, was given a 20 month sentence, suspended for 18 months, and ordered to complete 150 hours of unpaid work.

The 18-year-old was sentenced after pleading guilty on Wednesday to four drug offences – two counts of supplying class A drugs on 20 and 21 December 2018 and two counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs on 10 April 2019.

The charges of possession relate to the day Ogrodnik was arrested. When searched by officers he attempted to discard seven wraps of class A drugs.

Jack Godkin, 23 of Toothill Road, Loughborough, admitted selling heroin during a drug deal in the Rockingham Road area of the town on 6 November last year.

He was given a 16 month sentence, suspended for 18 months, and ordered to complete 100 hours of unpaid work after pleading guilty to the offence at a hearing last month.

Also pleading guilty on Wednesday, Jasmine Hughes, of Regent Street, Loughborough.

The 22-year-old was given an 18 month sentence, suspended for 18 months, for three counts of supplying a class A drug after she admitted on two dates in August 2018 supplying cocaine and heroin in Regent Street and Oxford Street.

She had previously pleaded guilty to possession of a class B drugs – after cannabis was found in her flat when she was arrested.

A fourth defendant, who appeared at Leicester Crown Court yesterday (18 July), pleaded guilty to eight offences.

Mark Jackson, of West Golds Way, Newton Abbot, Devon, admitted two counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs, possession with intent to supply class B drugs, two counts of possessing criminal property, one count of possessing a bladed article and one count of handling stolen goods.

The 40-year-old is due to be sentenced for the offences on 2 August.

All four defendants were detained in April as part of Operation Lionheart – a largescale investigation targeting those selling and distributing drugs on the streets of Leicester and Leicestershire.
