King Edward VI College students will be selling an impressive range of their own products, tempting shoppers with some fantastic seasonal delights.

Following a successful pilot with students from Oak Wood Secondary School in June this year, budding business entrepreneurs, this time from King Edward VI College in Nuneaton will pitch up next to the Christmas tree in Nuneaton Market Place on Wednesday 18 December from 10am.

Working alongside our established stalls, the initiative will help the students gain important business skills including financial management and customer interaction, with the proceeds from the exercise being fed back into the Grammar School enterprise.

Dawn Dawson – Director - Housing, Communities & Economic Development said:

“Our Economic Development Team has continued a successful partnership with local schools to help cultivate business skill development. The youth market provides a fantastic real-world platform for the budding entrepreneurs to gain some valuable skills and experience.

“The last youth market held in June this year was a real success and proved extremely popular amongst market visitors. It is wonderful to see this initiative being used once again to benefit students of another local school.”
