Appeal for witnesses to Loughborough collision

Three people suffered serious injuries following a four-car collision in Loughborough yesterday evening (20 May).

Officers were called to the incident in Terry Yardley Way, Loughborough, near the A6, at around 10.20pm.

The collision involved a silver Vauxhall Insignia, a green Skoda Fabia, a grey Volkswagen Touran and a black Skoda Superb.

The driver and a passenger from the Vauxhall Insignia vehicle, a 58 and a 50-year-old man, and the driver from the Volkswagen Touran vehicle, a 34-year-old man, were seriously injured. They were taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham where they currently remain.

The road was closed following the incident and has since re-opened.

Enquiries remain ongoing into the incident.

Detective Constable Alison Briance said: “Three people were seriously injured and we are appealing to anyone with any information in relation to the collision to make contact.

“Did you witness the collision or did you see any of the vehicles beforehand? Were you in the area at the time? Do you have any dashcam footage which may help us with our enquiries?

“If you have any information at all, then please get in touch.”
