From 10th - 16th May it's Mental Health Awareness Week, aimed at making us all talk more about mental health.
Fosse 107 is supporting Mental Health Awareness Week with thanks to Hinckley & Rugby Building Society, and the charity Lamp.
Lamp has and always will be a champion for mental health. We are an independent mental health charity founded in 1989. Our service is independent, confidential, trusted and non-judgemental. We provide free community mental health advocacy for people living in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland as well as Carers Advocacy for people in these areas. Our aim is for you to feel valued, listened to and more able to cope.
All week we're taking one minute out of our normal schedule to hear personal stories and get some tips and advice for better mental health:

Lamp's Around the World 5k Challenge
Mental Health Awareness week provides the perfect opportunity to raise awareness of the benefits physical activity can have on your mental health.
Lamp want to encourage you to get active during mental health week to better your mental health and increase your wellbeing by taking part in a 5k activity of your choice. Walking, running or cycling may be the most common forms of exercise but feel free to be creative. Swimming, rowing or even a simple dog walk may be your thing; or how about combine three activities together over the week for a Lamp Triathlon or doing an activity in fancy dress
To get involved is simple
