The George Eliot Hospital has released a statement.
Nuneaton's George Eliot Hospital is caring for a patient who has a confirmed case of Covid 19 Coronavirus.
A Trust spokesperson said: We continue to follow national guidance on the identification and management of patients with the condition. We have stringent isolation and infection control protocols in place; and are working closely with national agencies, including Public Health England, to ensure we are doing everything possible to safeguard all those using the hospital.
All staff who have had contact with the patient have already been traced and have been given guidance in line with Public Health England advice. They are being supported by Occupational Health colleagues.
The hospital remains fully operational.
Patients should attend their appointments as normal and staff should continue to come to work unless advised otherwise by our Occupational Health Team.”
