The Great Rempstone Steam & Country Show returns in 2026 for a very special 70th Anniversary Rally, celebrating seven decades of steam heritage, countryside traditions and community spirit. Founded in 1956, this much loved event is proudly run by volunteers and raises funds for local and national charities each year. This year Across the weekend, visitors can enjoy a full programme of working steam engines and miniature engines, many of which take part in impressive parades and arena displays. There are also extensive displays of tractors, vintage and classic vehicles, motorcycles, military vehicles and stationary engines, alongside a large Model Tent showcasing intricate handmade models. There is plenty to see and do beyond steam. Attractions include traditional fairground rides, live music, craft and trade stalls, and a wide choice of food and drink. Families can enjoy hands on activities such as wildlife and conservation displays, falconry, circus skills, a dog show, and countryside demonstrations including wood sawing and milling. Travel note In 2026, road closures on the A6006 are expected to affect travel between Hathern, Zouch and Rempstone, please plan ahead.
