During the May Bank holiday (4-6 May) members and friends of Barrow Baptist Church will be helping to raise funds to provide toilets , improved sanitation and cleaner drinking water in some of the poorest countries in the world.
During the three day event those involved will be walking and cycling many hundreds of miles around Leicestershire and the surrounding counties, as part of their 'Flushing Away Poverty" ,toilet twinning challenge.
For each £60 donated a loo can be twinned with an impoverished family’s household latrine in various countries.
All other donations received will be used to enable people living in poor countries to have clean water, basic sanitation, and to learn about hygiene education.
A fundraising site has been set up with Virgin money and any contributions would be most welcome.
