Air Ambulance called after collision on M1

ROAD NOW OPEN

The M1 between junction 21 and 20 has been closed this morning (08/04) after a single vehicle collision on the southbound carriageway.

Both sides of the M1 were closed to allow air ambulance to land.

The collision involved a motorcycle and the full extent of the rider’s injuries are not known at this time.

**Traffic Update** | 1045 | M1, J20-21 Northbound - Lanes 1 and 2 have reopened on the northbound carriageway. Lane 3 remains closed. There is still a full closure southbound from J21-20.
