A Leicestershire police constable has been charged with two counts of rape.
28-year-old Stephen Reynolds from Leicestershire has also been charged with one count of assault by penetration.
Police said the charges relate to incidents reported to have happened in 2019. The charges relate to one adult female victim who is known to Reynolds.
Reynolds is suspended from the force.
He currently remains on police bail and is due to appear at Northampton Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Wednesday 7th January).
