The pandemic has meant a booking was need to visit the tip.
From Monday (19th July) the appointment system will be dropped due to the government removing legal restrictions on social distancing.
Leicestershire County Council says they will still be encouraging people to social distance however.
Vans, pick-ups and cars with trailers, and any vehicle bringing asbestos, chemicals or liquid paint, will also continue to need to have a Waste Permit.

Councillor Blake Pain, cabinet member for environment and the green agenda, said: “We’re making this move in line with the Government’s lifting of Covid-19 restrictions from Monday.
"However, we would encourage all visitors to our sites to apply common sense in line with Government advice. That way they will reduce the risk to themselves and respect other people when on our sites.”
