Leicestershire Police have said that although formal identification is yet to take place, it is believed to be Glenda Keal.
A body has been found in the search for Glenda Keal, who was reported missing from her home in Earl Shilton.
She was last seen on Sunday 7 December in Hawley Road in Hinckley – walking towards Westfield Road – just after 1.50 pm.
Police received a report this morning, shortly after 8.40 am, that the body of a woman had been found in the area of Brick Kiln Street in Hinckley.
Leicestershire Police have said that although formal identification is yet to take place, it is believed to be Glenda.
Her family are currently being supported by specialist officers and have asked for privacy at this difficult time.
Her death is not believed to be suspicious and a file will be prepared for HM Coroner.
