Ashby Road, opposite the Sainsburys Store at the junction with Frederick Street, has been closed.
Officers have closed a busy road in Loughborough town centre after a collision involving a HGV and cyclist in Ashby Road this afternoon.
The cyclist – a woman – has been taken to hospital for treatment.
The road remains closed at this time as enquiries are continuing. There are diversions in place and the police are asking drivers to seek alternative routes.
No arrests have been made.
