Free Bedworth and District Horticultural event at Bedworth Market this Saturday
To mark National Allotment week there is a free event this Saturday, 17th August from 9am to 2pm.
Local allotment holders will be in attendance with plant and produce sales and will be on hand to provide tips and advice on running an allotment. There will also be activities taking place throughout the day, including lessons for children in potting on plants.
Saturday market trading will continue as normal.
Leader of the Council, Cllr Julie Jackson said:
“This is a great opportunity for those considering running an allotment, there will be lots of practical advice from experienced local allotment holders plus the event is a great way to introduce the children to the joys of home grown veg! Please come along and take part.”
