Two cars were stolen from a property in Herald Way, Burbage, following a break-in during the early hours of this morning (Friday 1 November).
A door lock was broken at the house in order to gain entry at around 2.45am with car keys and a wallet, containing cash and cards, being stolen.
Two vehicles, a silver Mini with a purple roof and a silver BMW, were then stolen from outside the property. The BMW has since been recovered in the Coventry area.
There were people in the property at the time of the incident but they did not come into contact with the suspects. No injuries have been reported.
Officers are appealing to anyone with any information to contact police.
Detective Constable Shauna Ashton said: “The incident happened during the early hours of the morning but we are appealing to anyone who may have any information to make contact.
“Were you in the area at the time? Did you see or hear anything which may have been linked to this incident? Did you see the vehicles being described being driven in the area or have you come across the distinctive Mini car since?
“If you have any CCTV or dashcam footage from the area, please check this to see if it can assist our enquiries.”
