"The event is open to everyone and it is important to remember you are not going through this alone."
A drop-in event is being held in Loughborough in February to give people an opportunity to talk about any concerns they may have about the rising cost of living and find out what support may be available.
Charnwood Borough Council, as part of its Charnwood Community Action campaign, has organised the Let’s Talk! Money and Wellbeing event.
The event is being held on Friday the 10th of February at John Storer House in Loughborough between 2 pm and 5.30 pm.
Cllr Leigh Harper-Davies, lead member for community support, said: “We understand how concerned people are about the rising cost of living and financial pressures they may be facing.
“This event is being organised through our Charnwood Community Action campaign and is another way to help by bringing together a number of organisations and services together in one place. It will give people an opportunity to find out about what support may be available.
“No matter what position you find yourself in, the event is open to everyone and it is important to remember you are not going through this alone. Although there may not be an instant solution, there are organisations which could help you take steps to improving your situation."
There will be a range of organisations at the event providing advice on housing, debt, employment, the dangers of using loan sharks, scams plus and no-cost or low-cost ways to improve your health and well-being.
