A fatal crash has closed the M69 near Hinckley.
The collision on the northbound carriageway of the M69 was reported at 9.26am and involved a car and a motorbike.
The motorcycle rider, a man, sustained serious injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. No one else was injured.
The M69 northbound remains closed between junction 2 and junction 21 of the M1 motorway while emergency services deal with the incident. Motorists are being advised to seek an alternative route.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision, especially those motorists who have dashcam equipment installed in their vehicles.
