Find out about fostering

Leicestershire residents interested in becoming foster parents can find out more at an information evening being held at County Hall, Glenfield on Thursday (24th May, 6.30pm-8pm).

The  ‘find out about fostering’ event takes place during Foster Care Fortnight, the annual campaign by the Fostering Network with a message this year that foster caring can transform lives.

To mark Foster Care Fortnight, the county and city councils teamed up with 14 other local authorities across the East and West Midlands to produce a video, ‘There Was A Boy’, which raises awareness around fostering teenagers in care.

There are other 'find out about fostering' events planned at County Hall for Thursday, 14th June, Wednesday, 4th July and Tuesday, 24th July.

More information on fostering can be found on www.FosteringLeicestershire.com or by calling the recruitment team on 0116 305 0505.

Foster Care Fortnight is the UK’s biggest foster care awareness raising campaign, delivered by leading fostering charity, The Fostering Network. For more information visit: https://www.thefosteringnetwork.org.uk
