Fire crews from Leicestershire and Warwickshire fighting flames at derelict pub in Witherley

An air ambulance can be seen at the scene.

UPDATE (12:14) - The A5 is closed in both directions.

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue received a 999 call at 09:52 this morning (14th February 2022) to report a fire at a derelict pub.

When the fire crews arrived at the pub on Watling Street, Witherley, they 'requested further resources to assist with the firefighting'.

Fire and Rescue have confirmed that fire engines were sent from 'Atherstone, Nuneaton, Hinckley and  Western Station'.
