This is part of the council's plan to get people shopping in the local area.
Parking will be free throughout December and January in all Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council-owned car parks.
Councillor Kristofer Wilson, Leader of Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council said: “I would ask all local residents to please take advantage of the scheme and shop local where possible to help boost our local economy. Our markets and businesses have been hard hit during the pandemic. As a community, we need to do all we can to help them come through this crisis out the other side and remain with us for years to come.”
Phone & Pay customers should be aware that the system does NOT recognise free parking, so please do not pay as parking is free during this period.
No parking permits/season tickets will be available to purchase during this time and any existing permit holders will automatically receive a two-month extension to the expiry date shown on their permit.
