One of the films on show is Hocus Pocus.
Loughborough’s Market Place will be transformed into a spine-tingling cinema later this month.
Organised by Charnwood Borough Council, the Halloween Cinema takes place from 12pm until 8pm on Sunday, 26 October, and will feature three films on the big screen:
12.30pm – Hotel Transylvania (U): A fun animated tale featuring classic horror characters like Dracula, Frankenstein and the Mummy. Perfect for younger viewers.
3.00pm – Hocus Pocus (PG): The 1993 comedic tale of a villainous trio of witches
5.30pm – Ghostbusters (12): The 1984 classic full of supernatural laughs and iconic moments.
Visitors are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs for a cozy viewing experience under the autumn sky. Limited seating and bean bags will be available on a first-come-first-served basis.
Cllr Jennifer Tillotson, lead member for housing, economic development, regeneration and town centres, said: “We’re thrilled to bring a mix of spooky, nostalgic, and thrilling films to Loughborough this Halloween.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity for families and film lovers to enjoy the season together in a unique setting.”
There will also be:
- Ghoulish games and activities for kids and grown-ups alike
- Face painters on site from 12pm until 4pm
- Fancy dress fun – costumes encouraged, with prizes for standout outfits
- Halloween market stalls offering seasonal snacks, crafts, and gifts
