The founder of a local historical group Hinckley District Past and Present will receive a British Empire Medal.
Paul Gardner is on King's Birthday Honours List for 2023 and has been awarded the honour for services to the Hinckley community.

Paul Gardner said: "I am honoured, I am touched, I still can't quite believe it myself."
He told Fosse 107 about reading the letter for the first time.
Paul said: "I feel a great connection to my home town, to the people here and Hinckley in general. It is a great little place."
Paul said he loves what he does.
