The Borough Council and Hinckley Bid have confirmed they're provisionally planning for the return of a number of popular events, subject to government restrictions.
If the government's roadmap out of lockdown goes as planned, restrictions on gatherings and events will be lifted on 21st June.
Events currently planned to return include Armed Forces Day on Saturday 26 June and Feast Hinckley on the weekend of 7 to 8 August.
In September, it's hoped the Hinckley motorshow, which brings thousands of visitors to the town, will be able to be hosted. It's the UK’s largest town centre free motorshow.
Last summer most events were cancelled due to the pandemic, with only smaller events that enabled visitors to participate in a COVID secure way going ahead.
Councillor Keith Nichols, Executive Member for Culture and Leisure at Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council said:
"We all hope that as the restrictions begin to lift, we can all look forward to getting out and doing things we enjoy doing freely with our friends and families once again this summer.
"The events calendar is important for residents and businesses alike and we’re all keen to make them successful and enjoyable but public safety is and will remain an absolute priority so we will continue to review national advice and make any necessary changes and adaptations to operate great events everyone can enjoy safely this year.
"Until then, I’d urge everyone to keep following the guidance so that we can all return to some normality this summer.
