Hinckley Mayor is taking on a zip line over a quarry in Wales to raise money for her charities. she is genuinely terrified of heights, this will be a real challenge,
I’m the Mayor of Hinckley and Bosworth and this year, I’m raising money for my two charities.
Project 2030: Concordia Theatre is raising money to make the theatre more accessible and improved. Run by 400 volunteers, they put on the most incredible shows throughout the year and people can do all sorts, from front of house, to sound, lighting and scenery making to name but a few.
Hinckley and District Poppy Appeal support those who have served in our armed forces and their families. Our borough is well represented from our amazing cadets, to our veterans who turn out at memorial days and parade through town.
Both charities mean a lot to me, so over this year I’m hoping to raise lots.
Now this particular event is on my birthday. Instead of presents, I’d love people to support me as I zip line down a quarry in Wales.
If you know me, then you’ll know I’M TERRIFIED OF HEIGHTS!!
So this will be a genuine challenge for me. The cover photo is of my foot and how much I could physically put onto the glass floor of Space Needle in Seattle. My legs will be jelly, but hopefully I’ll get a video of me screaming on my way down (probably f-bomb it too)…
