A drug dealer has been jailed for three years after he was caught dealing in Nuneaton.
Kenan Kelly, 25, of Three Spires Avenue in Coventry, was sentenced to three years in prison after pleading guilty to possession of class A and class B drugs with intent to supply.
Kelly was arrested on the 29th of December 2022 when officers went to carry out a curfew check at a flat in Heath End Road, Nuneaton.
Officers saw movement inside so went to the back of the flats where they saw Kelly escaping from the property via a window.
He was chased by the police and they detained him.
Nuneaton officers were then made aware of a bag containing £1000 of cocaine discarded by Kelly and he was arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to supply.
A further search of Kelly uncovered cannabis.
Detective Constable Dan Stanton from Nuneaton Proactive CID said: “We welcome this sentencing for Kelly, who is now paying for his crime that causes so much harm and violence in our communities.
“This was excellent policing by our response colleagues who were alert to suspicious activity in the property and responded quickly to locate and arrest Kelly.”
