A 26-year-old man was arrested at the address and remains in police custody.
Leicestershire detectives are investigating the death of a man who was found at a house in Measham.
Ronald Dunlop, 75, was found at about 4.30pm on Wednesday 1 December by East Midlands Ambulance Service.
Police were called by the Ambulance Service to report that a man was deceased at a house in Hart Drive.
After police enquiries, they arrested a 26-year-old man on suspicion of murder and he remains in police custody.
Ronald’s family said: “Ronald will be greatly missed by all his family and we are shocked that his life ended this way.
“We would like to be left alone at this time to assist the police and process our grief.”
Scene preservation remains in place at the property while the enquiries continue.
Detective Inspector Nicole Main, from East Midlands Special Operations Unit, said: “Our investigation remains at an early stage while we continue to piece together the full circumstances surrounding this man’s death.
“While our officers will be conducting local enquiries with neighbours, I would be keen to hear from anyone living locally who may have seen or heard a disturbance at the address yesterday afternoon which may be connected to this incident.
“Any information you have could be extremely important to our enquiry so please get in touch.”
