"The new facilities in our Young People’s Kitchen will help to enable our young people to grow and develop and achieve their aspirations."
A kitchen in the Young People’s Lounge has been unveiled at Rainbows Children's Hospice.
The kitchen project focused on creating a dedicated area to offer a fully functional space for one-to-one support, group work activities, life skills and accreditations.
The £42,400 grant is funded through Morrisons partnership with Together for Short Lives.
Rainbows Youth Worker Stacey Curzon said: “The Building a Legacy Together Grant has been wonderful for us, and we would like to thank everyone involved. The new facilities in our Young People’s Kitchen will help to enable our young people to grow and develop and achieve their aspirations in a safe and supported way, promoting independence and wellbeing.”
Morrisons and Together for Short Lives partnership started in February 2022 and is raising funds for children’s hospices across the country and helping families make precious memories together.
Morrisons Corporate Affairs Director, David Scott added: “As part of Morrisons’ commitment to giving back to our communities, we are proud to be funding the new kitchen at Rainbows through our partnership with Together for Short Lives. This is what the Building a Legacy Together Grant is all about. We are confident that the project will make a difference to the families Rainbows support.”
