Police closed the entrance to Sketchley Meadows Industrial Estate this morning (5 January) after two men were found with injuries.
A force spokesperson said: "Shortly before 9pm yesterday (Thursday 4 January), a report was received that a man in his 20s had been found with a hand injury in Logix Road, off the A5 near Burbage.
"The man told police he had been attacked by a group who had left the scene.
"Another man in his 20s – who was known to the victim – was found a short distance away having suffered an injury to his ear. Neither of their injuries are life-threatening.
"An investigation to understand the circumstances of what happened is continuing and a road closure is in place in Sketchley Meadows.
"Motorists with dashcam footage and any witnesses are asked to contact police, quoting incident 693 of 4 January."
