Wellbeing walks, pilates and gentle keep fit sessions are being held in the local area for people to take part in.
This year's theme for Mental Health Awareness Week is 'Movement: Moving More for our Mental Health'.
The Active Together Partnership says that 'Physical activity has a huge potential to enhance our wellbeing. It also plays a role in preventing the development of mental health problems and in improving the quality of life of people experiencing mental health problems.'
