A man in his 50s was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives are appealing for information following a fatal single-vehicle collision in North West Leicestershire.
At around 4.30pm yesterday (Wednesday 15 September) a silver Peugeot Partner van left the road while travelling along Alton Hill from Ravenstone towards New Packington.
Emergency services attended but the driver – a man in his 50s – was pronounced dead at the scene. The road was closed while police attended the scene but later reopened.
Detective Sergeant Paul Hawkins, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU), said: “I would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw the silver Peugeot van beforehand.
“I am particularly keen to speak to any motorists with a dashcam in their vehicle. Any information or footage you’re able to provide, no matter how insignificant you think it is, could help our enquiries.”
