The man's death 'is being treated as unexplained.'
Emergency services were sent to a serious house fire in Hinckley on Wednesday night at around 11:40 pm.
Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service went to the house in Manor Street and found a man deceased inside the property.
A Leicestershire Police spokesperson said: “At this stage, the death is being treated as unexplained however from initial enquiries carried out, it is not believed to be suspicious. Enquiries are continuing."
Today police were at the property along with a fire investigation team.
