They could be moved to new purpose-made locations in Earl Shilton and Shepshed.
A school in Blaby that teaches children who may struggle in a mainstream schools could be re-locating.
Pupils currently at Oakfield Short Stay School could be moved to Newlands Primary School in Earl Shilton and the former youth centre at Iveshead School Campus in Shepshed at the start of the summer term under the plans from the County Council.
A new 50 place Social, Emotional, Mental Health school is set to open at the Oakfield Short Stay site in September.
A spokesperson for Leicestershire County Council said: “We’re continuing to work closely with the schools involved in this challenging and ambitious programme of work, and we are very grateful for the support that they and their governors have given. We also know that parents are taking a keen interest in the new provision and we’ll be keeping them up to date with developments.”
