Road into Bagworth closed after crash

Although the road is now back open the junction with Garland Lane remains very busy.

Barlestone Road near Bagworth was closed by the emergency services this morning as a van was involved in a road traffic collision

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue received a 999 call at 07:38 and two fire engines from Coalville and Market Bosworth were sent to the scene.

At 09:49 Leicestershire Police confirmed that they had closed the road due to a police incident.

Two casualties left the vehicle before the Fire Service arrived and they were treated by paramedics.

Although the road is now back open the junction with Garland Lane remains very busy.
