They've been given the highest possible accolade, in the Loo of the Year Awards.
Loughborough’s town centre public toilets are officially the best in the business as they've secured the Diamond Award, in the Loo of the Year Awards.
This is the first time the toilets have received the diamond rating after scoring platinum in recent years.
The conveniences in Market Place, are looked after by Charnwood Borough Council staff.
Jeanette Woolley, public convenience supervisor at the Council, has been maintaining the toilets in the town centre for nearly 20 years.
Jeanette said: “We are so pleased that all of our hard work has been rewarded by receiving the highest accolade from the Loo of the Year awards.
“I have worked on these toilets for many years now and I am so proud of the team that work to keep the toilets clean and maintained to the highest standards."
The team at the Market Place toilets also won the ‘Washroom Cleaner of the Year’ award.
Cllr Jenny Bokor, lead member for Loughborough said: “It is fantastic to see the cleaning staff once again being recognised for all their hard work over the past year.
“This one is extra special, earning the highest recognition possible for the first time."
