The University said they are investigating the 'sexually-motivated incident'.
The as yet unidentified person is also a student at the University.
In a tweet, Loughborough university said a fake social media persona was involved.
The University is currently investigating an incident of sexually-motivated catfishing involving the use of a fake social media persona. An individual who is both a student and member of staff, has been suspended in relation to this incident. (1/2)

A university spokesperson said they would not be making any further statements at this time.
