Specialist steel contractors will start at the beginning of May.
After this, equipment will then be returned to the health and fitness suite so it can reopen as soon as possible.
An ultrasound test will be undertaken to confirm the exact work required on the steel columns and a time scale will then be agreed to complete all the steel works.
While the pool is closed, painting of all the steel works will be undertaken in this area, following remedial works.
