Coventry City
- Former England football player Frank Lampard has been confirmed as the new manager of Coventry City
- He has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with the Sky Blues.
- His first match with the club will be on Saturday against Cardiff City.
Testing
- Leicester’s Hospitals’ Emergency Department has set up a new screening programme, intending to test more than 100,000 people per year for blood-borne viruses.
- Every patient aged 18 years and over who is already having blood samples will now also have an additional one to screen for HIV, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C, unless they opt-out.
- They say that this will lead to earlier diagnosis and treatment for patients.
Nuneaton Businesses
- Local independent businesses in Nuneaton are being encouraged by the county council to shout about their products in the run-up to Christmas.
- They want businesses to use the #WarwickshireChristmas on social media.
