The free event, which is organised by Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council, takes place in Argents Mead just outside Hinckley Leisure Centre
Mark Rowley from Fosse 107 Breakfast will be there again this year to help out on the day which was well attended last year.
Mark said "It took some doing keeping some very competative parents in check but it was great fun to see families joining in"
No booking is needed, simply turn up to take part.
Fun activities planned for this year’s sports day include an egg and spoon race, three-legged and relay races, as well as a grand finale of a tug of war. Trophies will be awarded to all winners and everyone goes home with a medal for taking part.
This year a team from Relay for Life will be around to talk to people about their unique team fundraising challenge for Cancer Research UK. This is a year-long challenge for teams of between eight and 15 people to get sponsorship for activities, physical or otherwise.
Any local clubs or businesses that support a traditional sport or physical activity and who would like to be part of the event are invited to get in touch on 01455 255870.
