Officers are appealing for information after a woman was sexually assaulted in Loughborough.
It reportedly happened just before 4 o'clock in the morning on Sunday 19 January as the victim, a woman in her twenties, was walking along Burleigh Road towards William Street.
She was suddenly approached by a man who touched her inappropriately before running off turning right onto Granville Street.
The man is described as white, in his thirties, around 5ft 10ins tall and of a medium build. He had short dark hair and was wearing a dark hooded top with what have been described as dark smart trousers.
PC Chris Hayton, who is investigating the incident, said: “I would like to ask anyone who may know who this man is or have any information about the incident to get in touch.
“Did you see someone in the surrounding area acting suspiciously matching this description? Have you been approached and assaulted in similar circumstances and haven’t contacted police?
“If you have or have any information which could help our investigation, please get in touch.”
