Iliman Ndiaye transfer news: Man City sign £65m winger from Everton as Jack Grealish joins Toffees on loan

Manchester City have confirmed the £65m signing of winger Iliman Ndiaye.

The deal comprises a £60m guaranteed payment plus £5m in bonuses.

Ndiaye, who had also been wanted by Tottenham, has signed a five-year contract at Manchester City.

Jack Grealish has gone the other way in a separate deal, returning to Everton on a season-long loan that covers the final year of his Man City contract.

But Manchester United have rejected Everton's offer to take Joshua Zirkzee on loan.

Sky Sports News understands Everton offered to pay a total fee of around £10m for Zirkzee, which included his wages for the season and a loan fee.

Ndiaye's City arrival comes after Liverpool rejected Manchester City's £80m bid for Cody Gakpo.

Sky Sports News understands Liverpool were concerned about their chances of bringing in a replacement for the Dutchman.

Manchester City wanted to sign a wide forward and a central midfielder before the window closes, with the club agreeing a joint-British record deal for Chelsea's Enzo Fernandez on Deadline Day.

City allowed Savio and Omar Marmoush to join Tottenham earlier this month, reducing Enzo Maresca's options on the wing.

City did not name a winger on their bench in Friday's win over Crystal Palace and started with Phil Foden - who Enzo Maresca admitted is not a winger - out wide at Selhurst Park.

Ndiaye: Man City perfect fit for me

Ndiaye, who becomes Manchester City's seventh summer signing, said: "I've worked my whole life for an opportunity like

Manchester City director of football Hugo Viana added: "Iliman is a very talented footballer. He's had to work incredibly hard to reach this level and in my first conversation with him it was immediately obvious how grounded he is and the determination he has to be the best player he can be.

"I've no doubt City fans will get a thrill seeing him in action for us."
