Curtain up for Hinckley’s vibrant take on Guys and Dolls

Hinckley’s talented Amateur Operatic Society take audiences back to the busy streets of 1950s New York this May, in their lively production of iconic musical Guys and Dolls.

Featuring well-loved musical numbers ‘sit down you’re rocking the boat, ‘luck be a lady’ and ‘bushel and a peck’, we follow the charming tale of committed, strait-laced mission sergeant Sarah Brown, who unexpectedly finds love in the underground world of law-dodging gamblers she’d first set out to reform.

Director and choreographer Lisa Marsh said: “We’d encourage anyone who loves the glitz and glamour of classic musicals to gather friends and family for a great night out at the Concordia Theatre.

“Our talented cast members have worked so hard in rehearsals over the past six months and we’re incredibly proud to finally bring this funny, heartfelt and high-energy show to the stage.”

Theatregoers can enjoy pre-theatre and interval drinks at the Concordia’s Spotlight bar, as well as hot drinks and ice creams with ample free parking available nearby. There’s also a chance to win a bottle of prosecco with every show programme purchased.
